Important Note
Before continuing, please make sure you’ve read and understand the following. Thanks!
Phoenix Creek is a family-only motocross and camping park. As a general guide, this means: no kids in your family group riding = no riding for you. There are some exceptions such as: families with kids that don't/can't ride, mature couples/singles without kids, those in the VMX (vintage mx) scene etc. Please give us a call if you're not sure as exceptions will need to be cleared over the phone in advance. And no, a bunch of 18 year old riders where one brings his little brother does not constitue a family group.
We have a strict policy on bike noise that we must adhere to. The rule of thumb is that the exhaust cannot be louder than a well-maintained (read: packed, un-modified) stock muffler for that type of bike. We don't care how that's achieved, be it a standard or aftermarket system with a baffle/restrictor/whatever, so long as it's stock levels of sound - but from experience, most "race" mufflers, shorties etc. won't cut it. Yes, this is a different rule to MQ/MA/other parks and we don't care about "but it was fine at somewhere else".
Riders here must have a certain amount of gear: full-length sleeves, full-length pants, ankle-length boots, proper helmet, gloves and eye protection. Don't think you'll be riding in runners or a t-shirt, and this applies to kids, adults, even Dad jumping on the minibike to putt around behind the kids.
Our "banned items" list includes any kind of drinking glass e.g. stubbies, wine glasses etc. - bring cans/plastic instead. Need your wine or spirits? Decant into a plastic cup and leave the bottle in the car, out of sight. Also banned are chainsaws/axes etc, firearms or other hunting and fishing equipment, aggressive dogs (family pets are fine) and any sort of Quad/ATV/Buggy (sorry, not our call).
First-time visitors must call beforehand, otherwise our upcoming opening/closing times and notices are on the Home Page and usual days/hours and pricing is on the Fees and Hours Page. Please read the *Important* Page before making the drive to ensure there won’t be any issues when you get here. Driving directions from town (GPS routes can be dodgy) and phone numbers can be found on the Find Us Page.
We have strict rules regarding how the park is run and are known to actually enforce them (unlike a lot of places), and have very little tolerance for idiots. If you're looking for a place to switch your brain off, ride loose and get rowdy of a night time, you would be better off looking elsewhere. If you and your mates are looking for a fully-sick hardcore MX track with few rules, this probably isn't the place. However, if you're looking for a relaxing motocross getaway with like-minded people and a primary focus on safety and families/kids, this is the place for you.
Two hours N/W of Brisbane near Yarraman in South East Queensland, this family-friendly motocross and camping park is bounded by a spring water creek and native parklands and bush.
Finally there is a motocross park in Queensland where the whole family can ride their motocross and trail bikes on tracks specifically designed for all skill levels. To enhance safety, full size bikes are not allowed on the junior tracks, whereas junior bikes can be ridden on all junior and senior circuits (at parent discretion).
We also have loads of space for kids to ride their BMX bikes, mountain bikes, and use their radio controlled toys in a family-friendly environment. In warm weather the creek and rock pools are open for swimming or just cooling off, so bring your blow-up toys, rubber dinghy and even a snorkel!
At Phoenix Creek Motocross Park we have four purpose-built junior motocross (MX) tracks that range from beginner and Pee Wee, right through to advanced mini motocross bikes. We also have the new senior natural terrain motocross track (with some more technical split-lane options) for full sized bikes. We use a system of pit areas linked by safety lanes that lead directly to the MX tracks to eliminate car, bike, and pedestrian conflict.
Phoenix Creek Motocross Park is governed by a strict set of rules and a code of conduct. These rules and requirements are not in any way designed to limit customer enjoyment, but are in place to protect all of our customers by providing an “as safe as practical” environment for them to enjoy riding motorcycles and other outdoor activities. At Phoenix Creek Motocross Park, safety is our primary focus!
Come for a day, a weekend, or a week. Weather permitting, our parklands and tracks are open for your enjoyment weekends, long weekends, and Queensland school holidays, or by prior arrangement.
Weather
Due to our location high on the eastern side of the Great Dividing Range the weather here is often fine even when the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and the Gold Coast are experiencing heavy rain.
